We do everything we can to create an inspiring space where toddlers and young children enjoy spending time with their grown-ups. KUK offers a non-commercial alternative to children’s entertainment in the form of non-traditional theatre performances that straddle the line between theatre, art installation and workshop. They engage perception with all the senses and draw children into the action more easily. In this way, we follow the worldwide trend of theatre for the youngest audience, based on scientific knowledge about the development of young children, and we are enthusiastically trying to pass it on to the youngest Czech audience.

In the DAMÚZA studio, the development of children’s perception of theatre and culture at an early age is very important to us. That is why we were the first in the Czech Republic to come up with a project with a specific approach to toddlers, where we offer them a full cultural programme without degrading them in any way. We have several years of experience in creating a programme for the little ones and we approach it with enthusiasm, which is directly reflected in the reactions of our, always uncompromisingly honest, audience.

But KUK is not just theatre. Because we know that children love acting even more than we do, we have created an original playroom for them together with our set designers. You won’t find any prefabricated products in it. We carefully design, carve, drill, fold and sew everything.

Our imagination is running at full speed to turn the wheels of our future generation’s imagination. The playroom belongs primarily to the children, but they can of course invite their adult companions if they see fit.

In short, KUK is here for all children who love to discover the world around them and the adults who accompany them on this journey of surprises.
